Ok, so I'm not sure that this image is necessarily of the Valentine category, but I thought it would be a fun way to interpret the girl talk between these two coffee drinkin' women! The image is stamped on kraft card stock in Versafine Onyx Black ink and highlighted here and there with a Copic marker, as well as the cuppas in red. Fun red and black accents include glitter letters, buttons, ribbon and hearts in various forms.

Never too soon to be thinking about your Valentines...hope this one gives you a giggle and gets you headed in the right direction!

A Simple Snowy Tree

I turned this tree from the Nature cling set into a snowy winter tree. I just added a bit of glitter under and on the tree and branches. I sponged around the image and sentiment. The paper is from the Polar Expressions line by Imaginisce.

I've been having so much fun altering these Melissa Frances bingo boards and decided to make one using Emerson Quillin's Wine Princess. This will be going to my cousin and best friend, Jane, because she IS a wine princess! The image is colored with Copics and sponged around the perimeter with distressing ink. Embellishments include: Melissa Frances chipboard (crown); Foo-fa-la buttons; Cuttlebug Red Tag Letter alpha dies; stick pins from Heidi Grace; and gold glass glitter from The Cat's Pajamas, adhered with strips of sticky tape.

Oh what fun it is to shop with a Visa full of credit, eh?! That's what this wine-lovin' Emerson Quillin lady is thinkin'! These images make me smile and bring me joy, and you can see how much fun I had putting together this card. I actually picked up some "leftovers" on my stamp table (snowflake, tree, patterned paper) and it fell into place. The main image is colored with Copics and sponged around the edges for a bit of vintage. The letters are die cut and the buttons are from Foo-fa-la. I've colored her with Copics and added fun little black pearls to her chair and a green rhinestone to her hat for a little fun and to draw extra attention to the image. Hopefully the black photo corners pull your eye to the image as well. A big bow and button along with some old sheet music round out the other fun elements to this design. Can't scare a teacher!

I love this one because, although I'm not a classroom teacher, I work for a school district as a speech pathologist, and I can totally relate! Emerson continually cracks me up with "the ladies", as I like to refer to them. Teacher is stamped on vanilla card stock in Versafine Onyx ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Did you know that you can do that with the Versafine ink? I read it somewhere, tried it and it works like a dream. I then colored her scene in with Copics, sponged the edges and embellished with a few staples and a script stamped die cut flower. Be sure to check out all the Emerson Ladies here.

I love the mix of font sizes on this endearing sentiment saddled next wonderfully whimsy blooms. I colored the blooms minimally in shades of pink with reinker and blender pen and then added sponging around the edges for a bit more depth. More of Karen Stolper's leggy folks, this time caroling in shades of yellow and gray, just for something a little outside traditional holiday colors. The carolers and sentiment are from a great cling set called Holiday Fun. I stamped my images in Versafine Onyx Black and penciled in shadows and shades of yellow. Sponging around the edges to add dimension and create a "chimney sweep" smudge-y look.

I had so much fun creating these cards using Emerson Quillin's Best of Breed because these images just crack me up! I used a sketch challenge for my starting point on the first card pictured above, and added a row of buttons to fill in the empty space at the bottom of the main image panel. My Emerson gal and her pooch are colored with a combination of colored pencils and reinkers.

My second card features the same image, colored a bit differently with patterned paper from Stampin' Up!. A bit of ribbon, a button and pearl stickers for her earrings round out the embellishments.

The only extra color added to the image is a reverse masked cuppa-cuppa and a bit of shadowing here and there using an aquapainter. Here's a playful skeleton from Ken Brown, wearing a top hat and holding a list! I decided to make an accordion fold strip and wrote the sentiment with a puffy gel pen. Turn the heart brad and the sentiment unfolds: A friend sees right through you and still enjoys the show! The skeleton was inked with VersaMark and embossed with Ranger Seafoam embossing powder. I used Basic Grey Archaic papers and a black grosgrain ribbon.

I used apricot, pixie pink and celery cardstock to make this bright card - I guess it's pretty cheerful looking though.

I have two cards to share using the same layout but with different patterned papers and two different bird images from Robin Pickens, accompanied by sentiments from Kathleene Callei's Winter Words cling set. Each of the birds is colored with reinkers and either blender pen and/or watercolor brush. I accented the birds' wings with Green Apple Smooch pearlized accent ink, and embellished each card with a pair of buttons. It's never too soon to start on those Christmas cards!

Isn't this new cat stamp from Robin Pickens just adorable? I stamped her on green cardstock and then matted it on a larger black piece, finishing it off with a purple sentiment banner secured with a button. Papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Jolly By Golly Collection with Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink highlighting the tree ornaments (Gold Lamme) and tree branches and ground (Moonlight).

Getting an early start on Christmas cards! I used the bird and tree image from Robin Pickens, which was colored with a combo of chalks and markers. The paper is from Basic Grey's Wassail line and is paired up with Caramel and Evergreen cardstock. Thanks for looking.

Hi everyone, so glad to bring out the Ken Brown stamps today and play. I love the retro, quirky style...and with it being the season of grillin' and chillin', I had to use this very fun cook! I've used Cosmo Cricket papers, and Copic markers for coloring my fish. The tiny lure, well, I found it on my kitchen counter and thought it was fair game!!! I'm glad, she stuck to her motto: Her Soul was stirred, but not shaken.

I used the Downward Dog stamp for this card. The girl was also stamped on white paper and her outfit was paper pieced together. I cut it all out and glued it overlapping the "floor".

A fun new yoga pose from American Art Stamp by Robin Pickens, called Triangle Pose. My yoga girl is colored with a blender pen and reinkers topped with a twine tied sentiment tag. The rounded upper right corner intended to mimic the pose.

Once I colored this image I wanted some tropical looking papers to match up to it, so I grabbed my stash of Scenic Route "Grafton" paper. I made the flowers by cutting circles, attaching a decorative brad to the center then crumpling them up.

Here's a card which could be used for graduation, congratulations, or encouragement. I colored with Copics and applied some Moonlight Smooch to the wings. I colored the star crystals with a Copic marker before adhering them over the stars in the image.

The lady is stamped in black archival ink and quickly colored with Copics. Matted in black cardstock and adhered to designer paper is all this image needs.

A few square gemstones for interest are added.

I stamped Getting There in Memento Tuxedo Black, then I colored with Copics and sponged around the image panel. I applied Moonlight Smooch (Clearsnap) onto the chipboard flourish -- it gave it a mother-of-pearl appearance. Paper is Marrakech by BasicGrey.

I just love how this one turned out. I first stamped the image on vanilla cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers. The main image was then stamped again on the yellow dp and the colored image was paperpieced on the dp.
